The setup directions within the app say you don’t need to give your specific location, but you can’t advance to complete registration without putting something in. I don’t know yet how providind the address of a downtown business will affect the Shelfy effectiveness.

The directions also suggest using the downloadable Vitesy Hub app for a “complete experience,” however, I did not see any option to use the Shelfy without an app. It’s also very frustrating that the app itself is called “Vitesy Hub” and not Shelfy. That means if you search for “Shelfy” on your phone, you come up with nada. So, be prepared to remember that Shelfy = Vitesy and try to keep this very important knowledge in your data-addled brain (/s).

My Shelfy arrived yesterday and it’s already effectively removing the onion odor from our fridge. Putting a sliced onion in a bag in the vegetable drawer doesn’t stop the smell from seeping into other dishes – this does.
