Dr. Billingsly received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Certificate in Neuropsychological Assessment from Pacific Graduate School of Psychology (now University of Palo Alto) in Palo Alto, CA. She developed a specific interest in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Her experience with children on the spectrum ranges from conducting diagnostic assessments, to educating parents, running social skills groups, performing 1:1 direct ABA service, developing and supervising ABA programs, and conducting trainings and consultation for other mental health professionals. She currently works part-time with the Kaiser Permanente Division of Research on two large studies looking at the potential risk factors of autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Billingsly strongly believe that research should inform clinical practice which is why she enjoys being part of both research and treatment. Her joy with children with special needs comes from seeing the small steps they make each day when given the tools to do so. She see diagnosis, not as a label, but the first step towards growth and change.
