Lindsey Hurd


Lindsey has specialized her career in perinatal and pediatric nutrition for more than 5 years. After graduating from UNC at Wilmington with an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science, she completed a Master of Science in Nutrition and the Dietetic Internship from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. She began her work in pediatric nutrition counseling while starting her business focused on perinatal and pediatric nutrition. With the aspiration of providing unabridged care to families from preconception through preschool, she completed the required hours of education and supervised practice in lactation support through the Mary Rose Tully Training Initiative at UNC. She currently holds a certificate of training in food allergy management and is specialized in counseling moms with food intolerant/food allergic children via breast milk and solid food intake. Additionally, she completed a prenatal yoga teacher training in hopes of bringing mindfulness, empowerment, and physical benefit to her clients.

Lindsey is currently a Registered Dietitian, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and owner of Angel Food Lactation & Nutrition, LLC. Her practice offers counseling in perinatal nutrition, lactation, and private/small group perinatal yoga sessions. Lindsey offers professional training and seminar presentations and has spoken at more than 9 events including The Art of Breastfeeding in Chapel Hill, NC, contribution toward The Baby Friendly Initiative’s step 2- hospital-based lactation training for staff, and WIC Peer Counselor Quarterly Trainings. Her services are available for families in and around Wilmington, NC for in-office and home visits and throughout the country via Skype consultations.
