Megan Franks

Megan is a Physical Therapist and Board Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist. She is passionate about helping men and women restore normal bowel, bladder, and sexual function for an improved quality of life. She loves that physical therapy provides a natural way to help the body heal.

At Regis University in Denver, CO Megan earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and since then has specialized in Men’s and Women’s Health. Megan values continuing education and has completed the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) CAPP-Pelvic courses. In 2014 she became a Board Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist. She has been a member of the APTA since 2005.

Megan has been a part of Scripps rehabilitation team since 2009. Her favorite part of her job is working side by side with other passionate practitioners and being a member of the Scripps family.

Balance is very important to Megan and she strives to be a minimalist and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Megan likes to ride her bike whenever she can, including commuting to work or going on fun rides around San Diego. She enjoys spending time with her husband Toby and their one year old daughter Leah, going to the beach, hiking, eating fish tacos all over San Diego, and vacationing in Iowa to see family.

Megan volunteers many hours to her community and enthusiastically serves on the environmental committee that has helped form a community garden. Megan also volunteers every year since 2009 on the Susan Komen 3-day Breast Cancer walk sports medicine crew.
