Tahra Johnson


Tahra Johnson is an expert in Maternal and Child Health, Oral Health, Women’s Health, Chronic Disease and Wellness. As a policy specialist at the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), her responsibilities include writing publications, giving presentations, tracking state legislation, collecting information about current events related to health topics, performing policy research, responding to requests for technical assistance and information, assisting with planning and facilitating multi-state meetings and collaborating with other national organizations. Prior to working at NCSL, Tahra was a senior analyst with the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), where she worked on maternal and child health, chronic disease prevention and evidence-based public health. Tahra earned her masters degree in public health from George Washington University and she earned her bachelors degree in business and health promotion from American University.
