Coyuchi Muslin Swaddle Blanket

I am loving my new Coyuchi swaddle blankets.  I have a thing for baby blankets in general, but these are special.  I recently had a baby boy and received tons of blankets and clothes, 99% of them being blue with either an anchor, a whale or dog on it.  Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it’s also nice to get away from those patterns and have something unique.

My favorite thing about these blankets is the pattern.  I got the plaid sunwashed tangerine pattern and it’s even prettier than it sounds!  It can be used for girls also, nice to have a unisex item that isn’t plain grey or yellow.  The blankets are on the smaller side of a swaddle blanket, so probably best for newborns or smaller babies.  I really like the size of the blanket.  My son is now rolling over so he is no longer able to be swaddled but I find myself still using these blankets.  I always throw a muslin blanket in the diaper bag for they day and these have become a constant!  I get compliments on them all of the time.   They are extremely soft and breathable.  The fabric is so light, I ended up using these blankets exclusively when my son was born in July and the heat would not stop!  I could leave him swaddled in his crib knowing that he would not feel overheated.   It was also perfect for a summertime nursing cover or to throw over the carseat when we were out in public.

As much as I love these swaddles for my son, I am not so secretly looking forward to him being older and not needing to have a blanket with him all of the time because I just want to use these as scarves!
