Medela recently introduced Calma, a one size fits all kind of nipple that mimics baby’s natural feeding behavior at the breast. The nipple is designed to mimic the breast in that milk will only flow if your baby works to get the milk out. The baby’s suction at the nipple creates a vacuum that helps slow down the flow so that baby can feed calmly and naturally at her own pace. The Calma allows babies to pause when they want and to follow their natural and unique sucking pattern. The Calma nipple features a fat tip and is a little longer than other brands. The plastic baby bottle itself fits with all Medela breast pump parts, which makes it easy to switch to these bottles right after pumping.
