Review: Motorola MBP 36 Baby Monitor

Motorola MBP33 Wireless Video Baby Monitor with Infrared Night Vision and Zoom, 2.8 Inch  MSRP: $249.99

3.5” screen; night vision; pan, tilt, and zoom camera; 2-way audio; 590’ range

Motorola’s top model is a full-function monitor with all the features you need except for off-site viewing via Internet. Like the Lorex, it has a camera with a mechanical pan and tilt, as well as digital zoom when baby is ready for his close-up. The Motorola MBP 36 monitors the baby’s room for temperature and will play five lullabies or can hear your voice with 2-way communication. Like most monitors, the parent unit has a rechargeable battery and will warn you when the battery is running low. The parent unit will also alert you when you’re out of range. Moms will like the the big LCD screen which gives a clear view of the baby, including at night, thanks to infrared, also a standard on most monitors. The parent unit has a nice design with curved molded corners, while the baby unit looks more high tech, resembling a small robot when sitting on the shelf.

Best for moms wanting a big screen and ease of use for a bit more money
