Pebble by Kahiniwalla review

Pebble by Kahiniwalla is a company created by Samantha Morshed, a Bangladeshi social entrepreneur who wants to improve the lives of women and mothers. Creating fair trade products close to their rural homes helps 12,000 women stay close to their families and work flexible hours. And the products they create are quality and gorgeous hand knits – heirloom pieces for your own family. I love the story behind the blanket that my kiddo now uses.

The Granny Square nursery blanket is an adorable addition to any nursery or toddler room. It is hand-made from 100 percent organic cotton, which I appreciate as I attempt to limit chemicals in my household. And since it is hand-crocheted, there are unique inconsistencies that make the blanket feel like it was made out of love and care just for my baby. But, it isn’t a keepsake to be put on a shelf – the blanket is quality made and machine washable and dryable. It is a great weight for staying put on the floor as a play mat, or covering up on chilly nights. My older toddler has even employed it building forts. The colors are vibrant and more sophisticated than typical children’s decor – I don’t mind it out on display in my living room.

The nursery blanket even comes packaged with a ribbon in a handsome gift box, perfect for baby shower gifts for new moms. We love this new blanket and are looking forward to trying other hand knit products from Pebble! Looking for a gift for a special someone for the holidays? Pebble by Kahiniwalla is stocked with beautiful nursery bedding, baby clothing, and toys.
