Actress Samaire Armstrong, who stars on “The Mentalist,” welcomed a bouncing baby boy over the weekend and made the happy announcement on Facebook on December 16.
“Thank you so much for all the love,” Armstrong wrote on the social networking site. “Will post pictures after a little rest. We’re all doing wonderfully. It was an amazing experience and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our new arrival. xoxo!”
Armstrong announced that she was pregnant with her first born in October via Twitter and kept her fans in the loop by revealing tidbits of information on both sites about the arrival of her little one.
In November, she shared a photo featuring a pair of headphones over her burgeoning baby bump, and on December 14, she noted that she had eight more days to go – little did the actress know, she would give birth sooner than expected!
Armstrong – who was born in Tokyo, Japan, but raised in the United States – has appeared on several hit television shows, including “The O.C.,” which ran from 2003 to 2006, as well as “Entourage” and “Dirty Sexy Money.”
