Olympic medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings reveals more about growing baby bump

Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings may have made headlines last summer when she scored her third straight medal at the London Olympics, but it was the beach volleyball champion’s announcement that she’s expecting her third child with husband Casey Jennings that really had fans clapping.

It turns out, Walsh Jennings, 34, may have had a little good luck charm in her corner when she tackled the summer games. At the time of the competition, Walsh Jennings was five weeks pregnant.

“I thought it could have been the stress of the games and travel kind of throws your schedule off, but I knew,” she told “Today” host Matt Lauer in a recent interview. “At some point, you’re late and then you start feeling something. And I definitely started feeling something in London.”

It looks like things are going to get hectic at the Walsh Jennings house, which is already home to two boys – sons Joseph, 3 ½, and Sundance, 2 ½.

In December 2012, Walsh Jennings revealed that she’s expecting a little girl, the family’s first. She also noted that she plans to give birth naturally, which she did with her two other children. The baby is due in April.
