Tamar Braxton announces baby bump despite fertility problems

Tamar Braxton, who rose to fame as part of the 1990s R&B group The Braxtons, recently announced that she’s pregnant with her first child – despite the fact that she and husband Vince Herbert were told they had fertility issues. The singer and star of “Braxton Family Values” waited to tell news sources until she was comfortable with the unexpected news.

Braxton, who’s apparently been craving potato chips and cheddar cheese lately, told People magazine that she’s been having to deal with a lot of “unsolicited advice” from her family, especially her mother and sister Toni.

“My sisters are making me feel more maternal because they’re crazy,” she told the magazine. “They always have a comment about my shoes, what am I wearing, what am I eating, you need to put your feet up and I’m just like, ‘I’m fine!’ They’re too much.”

Although the secret about her pregnancy is now out, Braxton’s keeping the sex of the baby under wraps. She revealed to People that her mother is among the only people who knows, and she’s not planning to tell her sisters because they can’t keep a secret.

Despite the recency of the announcement, the star told “Good Morning America” that she doesn’t have many months to go until the arrival of her little one. She showed off her bump on the show in a chic white shift dress.
