Lucy Darling Memory Book Review

Baby's first year memory book

Lucy Darling has the sweetest solution for recording each of your new baby’s milestones: a simple, stylish keepsake memory book to save and pass on to your little one once he or she is grown. As a mom of newborn twins, I was delighted to receive the Baby’s First Year book for review, along with coordinating monthly stickers. The year book is exactly what I was looking for to document my boys’ first year of life.

Lucy Darling is a small, independent company with Haily Meyers, a graphic designer and mother, at the helm. Take a peek at the company’s website and you’ll see that Meyers’ designs are modern and playful across the board. The book I received for my boys has unique designs that are bright, bold, and full of whimsy. This item has a sea theme and is filled with underwater creatures, ships, and pirates. What’s more, the monthly stickers coordinate perfectly and make recording important milestones a breeze.

I appreciate that this book is easy to fill in—because new moms are busy! The book provides plenty of space to document the most important moments. In particular, I love that Meyers has included a page asking for the price of bread, a gallon of gas, the current president, and a song that’s popular during your child’s year of birth. I imagine that years from now, when I look back at this page, it will serve as a time capsule, perfectly capturing what life was like at that moment.
The Lucy Darling book is mostly focused on providing a space for you to put important pictures of holidays, milestones, and birthdays. There is also space dedicated to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th birthdays, and even the first day of school. Completing this is a special gift for your child. Combining the book with the monthly stickers would make an excellent baby shower gift!
