The Joovy Caboose Ultralight doublestroller allows for multiple seating styles without a whole lot of hassle. This tandem model never compromises sun protection for any child no matter where and how they are seated. If you are searching for a double stroller, the updated Joovy Caboose Ultralight is a model to consider.
The pros
Assembly: I am not a person who enjoys putting things together. To be frank, I have no patience and am missing that assembly gene. My experience has been that no matter how simple the instructions claim the set-up process to be, I inevitably struggle. Much to my surprise the set-up on this stroller was so simple. Set-up took about 20 minutes. The instructions were drawn clearly, the parts were identifiable–it was mostly arranging and snapping parts in–total no-hassle operation even with a toddler milling about.
Seating options: The beauty of this double stroller is in its versatility. Simply put, there are so many seating options. The mostly universal car seat attachment allows an infant to ride in front, with the seat secured by straps. The back seat has multiple options: a second forward-facing, full-size seat can be added and the bench seat also has straps to hold a tot nice
and secure or your little one can use the stand-on platform to ride.
Canopy flexibility: The canopy size and coverage is beyond adequate. This model protects both riders in the front and back positions. The front canopy has a long reach and can be repositioned depending on which way baby is facing. The rear seat canopy features an optional extension that can be zipped on or off.
The fold: Opening and closing this stroller is super easy. You might expect the fold on a tandem model to be clumsy and awkward, but I was so delighted to find this wasn’t the case.
The cons
Bulky carry: It’s a double tandem stroller so it is expected to be on the heavy side. This one weighs in at 23 pounds. Compared to other stroller models–even a model we owned previously–the Joovy Caboose Ultralight weighs significantly less. But what really bummed me out is that this stroller is so awkward to lift and carry to and from the car, particularly with a flight of stairs to descend. A carrying handle on the side would be an excellent feature.
