Ubbi Diaper Pail review

Ubbi releases 3 limited-edition designs

The Ubbi Diaper Pail is the stuff parent dreams are made of: It doesn’t require expensive, special bags and it actually does the job right.

When my daughter was born, I picked up a standard plastic diaper pail at our nearby baby shop. We tucked it away in the corner of her room and used it for a good six months before realizing it was a poor investment. Once she started solids and her diaper output changed with the addition of new foods, we quickly learned that our diaper pail hardly controlled odors. What’s more, the bag inserts it required were costly and annoying to say the least.

Fast forward two years and we’re now using the Ubbi can. My husband and I could not be more pleased. This pail features powder-coated steel with rubber seals to really lock in odors. With 3 limited edition designs (gray and white chevron, navy with white stars, and light pink with hearts) and 13 solid colors, the can is cute enough to blend in with nursery decor–and you’ll never once get a whiff of what’s inside.

Aside from being a powerhouse at trapping nasty smells, the Ubbi diaper pail works with your standard kitchen trash bag. Just being able to forgo a trip to the baby store for specialized bags makes this can worth its weight in gold.

What’s more, with a sliding lid, this pail is simple to use, especially with a baby on your hip. The top features a child safety lock to keep little hands away–and emptying, reloading, and cleaning the can is a cinch, too.

Needless to say, when it comes to Ubbi’s diaper pail, I’m a convert. The “can of steel,” as the company has dubbed it, fits the brand’s ethos of high quality convenience that marries form with function. So, if you’re on the hunt for a diaper pail, I suggest skipping the cheap plastic cans and picking up an Ubbi. This is one purchase you won’t regret making.
