Pregnancy is certainly one of the most exciting times in a woman’s life, but with all the pregnancy symptoms, things to do while getting ready for baby and info you need to know about raising a child, it can also be one of the most stressful. While there are a lot of things to worry about, stress doesn’t have to be one of them. Next time you feel like you’re losing your grip on sanity and can’t possibly handle your to-do list, try one of these techniques for de-stressing.

Don’t pick up another baby book, but feel free to get started on that new bestseller you’ve been meaning to tackle or a novel you’ve always wanted to read. Losing yourself in a book is a great way to forget about your responsibilities for a while and transport yourself somewhere else. Snuggle up in bed or carve out a nice reading nook for yourself, and be sure to turn your phone and any other distractions off.
