BabyBjörn Bouncer Bliss

by Jackie Sparkman Leave a Comment

Baby bouncer chair

The Bouncer Bliss from BabyBjörn is a top-of-the-line bouncer seat that can be used for newborns and children up to the age of two. The seat comes in two styles—soft cotton or airy mesh. We chose the airy mesh and could not be happier.

One major reason to love the Bouncer Bliss is that it’s adjustable, which is a rare feature among other bouncers. For sitting, there are three adjustable levels so that your baby can go from an almost upright position down to a laid back position that’s comfortable for sleeping. The different positions allow for you to adjust as your newborn gradually becomes strong enough to hold their back and head upright.

With this seat, I felt like my baby was able to interact more and not as sunken in as he was in other bouncers. He was able to look side to side and see everything going on around him. It bounces to your child’s own movement, which is exciting to a newborn and helps them develop their motor skills.

Lightweight and breathable

The mesh seat is lightweight and very breathable. The airflow is really evident when you take your child out and notice no sweat on their head and back. A sweaty baby is almost unavoidable in other bouncer seats. The mesh seat also makes it ideal for taking it outdoors. We’ve taken it to the beach, the pool, and use it frequently when we hang out in the backyard. Since it’s lightweight and folds completely flat, it no longer feels like a chore to pack up the seat and haul it with you. The mesh seat handles getting wet very well and dries out quickly.

One thing you won’t find with the Bouncer Bliss is flashy lights or sounds, but this has not been an issue for us. Occasionally I’ll attach some links and toys to the seat belt which works great. For the most part, my little one is kept occupied with moving his arms and kicking his legs to make the seat bounce. We’re also saving money on batteries which a major plus.

As with most things, you get what you pay for with the Bouncer Bliss. It’s a little pricier than other bouncers but it’s the only one you’ll ever need. The adjustability, portability, and breathability put it in a league of it’s own. I would highly recommend this as a day one essential for any parent of a newborn.
