Bébé au Lait Duchess Nursing Cover

by Michelle Lee Leave a Comment

Bebe au Lait nursing cover in Duchess

Bébé au Lait is one of the most trusted names in nursing covers, delivering both stylish and utilitarian coverage for the breastfeeding mother.  After introducing their first covers in 2004 under the playful Hooter Hider moniker, they’ve continued growing their line with inventive designs and materials.  Given their solid reputation for high quality products, Bébé au Lait was one of the first brands on my baby registry.

In honor of Kate Middleton’s newfound motherhood, Bébé au Lait released the Duchess print as part of their Fall 2013 line.  It takes elements of Kate’s exquisite wedding gown and expands on the theme with a very elegant dark grey and pale blue pattern.  Given the many hours spent nursing, I’ve had plenty of time to enjoy the thoughtful details of the design – the mix of floral with rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock as well as the acorns and oak leaves from the Middleton family’s coat of arms.  Like Kate’s dress, the Duchess design is a tasteful combination of a classic and modern, creating a lovely and timeless design.

In classic Bébé au Lait fashion, the cover provides ample coverage and includes a structured neckline that lets you easily peer in to view your nursing child.  Made from 100% machine-washable cotton, the fabric is highly breathable and light to keep your child comfortable.  While the cover serves as a great way to maintain privacy while feeding, it also acts as a fantastic barrier to keep your baby focused and free from surrounding distractions.  The cover has an adjustable strap, so that you can get the right fit for your torso length, an important feature for those of us on the petite side.  Two pockets on the inside of the cover provide a convenient place for storing elements you may want to easily reach during feedings.

The Duchess Nursing Cover can be purchased as part of a Deluxe Gift Set that includes three burp cloths, sporting a matching pattern.  Double-layered, these burp cloths are great for absorbing spit up and for keeping shoulders dry during burping.  A perfect shower gift, this set will give your soon-to-be mom friends a great start on nursing.

Bébé au Lait products are a must have for any new mom.  Check out their entire line and find a design that meets your aesthetic at www.bebeaulait.com.
