Belli Elasticity Belly Oil Review

by Joanna Starkey Leave a Comment

belli pictureI had the recent pleasure of trying Belli’s Elasticity Belly Oil to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. As a 40-year-old expectant mother of twins, I realize that stretch marks are almost inevitable. I am also a physical and hand therapist who spends most of the day educating patients on the properties of skin. So I understand all too well how easily stretch marks can occur.

As we age, our skin loses some of its elastic properties and if it stretched significantly—like say, over two growing babies—the connective tissue often tears rather than stretches. This tearing is what leaves a stretch mark. Some causes we can do nothing about, but hydrating well can help, and so can a good lotion or oil.

I am very happy to say that I have found one in Belli Elasticity Oil. For starters, it is OB/GYN & Dermatologist recommended as well as tested for allergies. It is free of artificial dyes, fragrances, phthalates, and paraben preservatives. One of my favorite things about it is its subtle and soothing lavender scent. I have been using this oil twice a day as directed. Now as I enter the last few weeks of pregnancy, I am happy to report that I still do not have any signs of stretch marks. I’m also happy to report that my skin has lost that itchy, dry feeling I had all day before I started using the Belly Oil.

I use it in conjunction with Belli’s All Day Moisture Body Lotion.  This lotion also has a nice, light lemon oil and chamomile scent and doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy at all. Even my husband has remarked how smooth and healthy my skin is looking. I will be continuing to use these products long after the children are born!
