Rapper Lil Kim is pregnant with her first child

by Pregnancy Editors Leave a Comment

Lil Kim, the original queen bee, is pregnant with her first child at the age of 39. While she's remained mum on the identity of the father, some speculate that it's boxer Floyd Mayweather, while fellow musician Mr. Papers has told the Daily Mail that he has been on and off with Kim since 2012 and believes he's the father.

Kim sprung her happy news on the public when she showed up to New York Fashion Week in February with a baby bump. Dolled up in a figure-hugging floor-length dress, it was obvious that she was excited to share her happy news with the world. Kim holds the distinction of being the only female rapper to hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and has been on the music scene since she was a teenager in the 1990s.

Kim's friend of 20 years Jennifer Dalton, sat down with US Weekly to talk about some of the changes Kim has been experiencing as a brand new mother-to-be. Her food cravings include veggie pizza and steak, and she's been enjoying one perk of being pregnant and rich: Luxuriating in bed surrounded by a puffy platoon of pillows.

Dalton says that she's made an excellent godmother to her children, and she expects she'll dote on her own as well. "She's always wanted to have a child…But because she's been so busy working and with her career, it's never been the right time and now — she's like, I want a child, this is my time, I'm going to have this child, I'm going to be a great mother, and I'm going to have a great career after my child."
