Lily Allen bids baby bump farewell, welcomes daughter Marnie Rose

01/10/2013 by Leave a Comment

Celebrations are in order for singer Lily Allen and her husband, Sam Cooper, who welcomed their second daughter, Marnie Rose, into the world on Tuesday, Jan. 8.

Little Marnie Rose joins big sister Ethel, who was born in November 2011.

Although Allen and Cooper – who began dating in 2009 and were married in Cranham, Gloucestershire, in June 2011 – have yet to make a formal announcement about their new arrival, sources close to the couple report that they're over the moon with excitement.

"Marnie is a real cutie," a source told UK newspaper The Sun. "Sam and Lily are ecstatic about adding another girl to the family."

Allen has been hailed as a music and fashion icon. The British-born star rose to fame with the 2006 release of her Grammy-nominated album, "Alright, Still," which featured the hit song, "Smile." In 2009, she released "It's Not Me, It's You" to critical acclaim.

On the red carpet, Allen has been spotted wearing a range of dazzling styles that offer a blend of vibrant colors and playful silhouettes.

At the 2012 British Fashion Awards, Allen showed off her baby bump in a flattering purple dress that framed her figure beautifully and set the bar high for maternity clothing.
