Sara Rue glams up her bump on the red carpet

by Leave a Comment

Actress Sara Rue and her husband Kevin Price are expecting their first child sometime early next year. Although the star told Us Weekly magazine last month that she wasn't ready to start donning pregnancy clothes, it seems like she finally had to make the switch. She showed up on the red carpet at STYLE channel's fourth annual Give & Get Fete in Beverly Hills, California, wearing a fabulous maternity dress.

Photos posted on People magazine's website show the actress sporting a chic purple frock by JS Boutique that featured ruching along the sides and embellished straps, which showed off her figure and growing bump. She accessorized with black peep-toe heels, a beaded bracelet and a trendy metallic clutch, keeping her long hair down and wavy.

Us Weekly reports that the bombshell lost 50 pounds as a Jenny Craig spokeswoman in 2009, and during her pregnancy, she's managed to keep up those good diet decisions.

"I know this is weird, but I literally had these two giant glasses of milk and I was like, 'OK, I guess I needed calcium,'" she told the source. "So when I want ice cream, I need to realize, 'No, I probably need milk,' and not go too crazy."
