Supermodel and media mogul Tyra Banks announced on Wednesday that she and longtime boyfriend Erik Asla had welcomed a baby boy via surrogate. Announcing her news on Instagram, Banks referred to her new addition as a “miracle baby boy.”
Recently, Banks opened up publicly about her struggles with fertility. She echoed fellow model Chrissy Tiegan’s call for others to mind their own business when it comes to women and their reproductive habits. “You have no idea what people are going through,” Banks said on a daytime talk show last year after sharing that she and her partner were undergoing IVF treatments.
Now, Banks is home with her growing family. On Instagram, she proudly shared that her little bundle of joy has “my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik’s mouth and chin.
