Easy ways to have a more comfortable last trimester

by Sammi DeRosia 1 Comment

comfortable

It’s no secret that your third trimester of pregnancy isn’t the most comfortable. The good news is that there are a few easy ways you can make the last weeks of your pregnancy more bearable.

Sleep with a pregnancy pillow

If you don’t have a pregnancy pillow already, you’ll want to get one at the beginning of your third trimester. It can be difficult to find a comfortable sleeping position, and a pregnancy pillow makes it easier by providing you with support where you need it most. The pillow also helps to prevent aches and pains by accommodating not just one sleeping position but several.

Make an appointment with a chiropractor or physical therapist

Chiropractors and physical therapists can work wonders when you’re in your third trimester. Chiropractors can be extremely helpful for any lower back pain that you may face, it’s important to do what you can to have a comfortable last trimester as you prepare to greet your new baby.  They can also help manage pain in your joints, hips, and back because spinal adjustments can help re-establish pelvic balance.

Physical therapy can help you strengthen your muscles in a safe and healthy way, especially if you have any chronic injuries that are flaring up. A recent study showed that physical therapy can lower patient treatment costs by 72% because it prevents conditions from worsening.

Use a belly band for back support

There are many pregnancy gadgets out there. Google alone processes over 3.5 billion searches per day, according to Internet Live Stats. But if there’s one gadget to get during your third trimester, it’s the belly band. A belly hand helps to take some of the pressure off your lower back by helping to lift up your belly. You can find a belly band at places like Buy Buy Baby, Target, Walmart, and Amazon.

Get maternity clothes you love

It can be stressful when the time comes that you’ll actually need to wear your maternity clothes, but it helps when you actually like the maternity clothes you buy. Don’t force yourself to continue wearing your non-maternity clothes. Not only can this be uncomfortable, but it can also take a toll on your confidence, especially when the only clothes you have left that fit you are sweatpants. There are a lot of different maternity clothes out there that can help you sustain your comfort and help you feel and look great, and even some clothes that are designed to be loose and flowy can be great for your pregnancy after your life afterward as well.

Going through the last few weeks of pregnancy can be challenging, especially when you can’t find a way to get comfortable. With these tips you can rest assured your third trimester will be at least more comfortable before you get to meet your new baby!

honest and suggestion are nice for the women
Keyajee Pregnancy Care Centre is a beautiful word creation by our founder Vd. Seema – representing our victory in times of transition. Keya is the Sanskrit word for an Indian monsoon flower and also the name of Dr. Seema’s daughter. In Ayurveda monsoon is considered the season between seasons – a transitional time in nature. Jee stands for Vd. Seema’s son Jeet and means victory.
