Bixbee Rocketflyer Backpack

by Vanessa Alvarez Leave a Comment

children's backpack

“Let’s go, mama!”

And just like that our Bixbee Rocketflyer Backpack ($29.99) was ready for takeoff. This toddler-sized bag makes travel a breeze, allowing your little one to keep all his or her favorite things within easy reach.

Features I loved

The padding: This bag is thoughtfully constructed with little one’s in mind. The carrying handle includes padding, which is a nice touch as most children’s bags neglect to pad this area. The straps and back panel are also padded, helping to soften your child’s load.

ID holder: The location of the ID holder on this bag is ideal. The company placed it on the inside flap. This is so appreciated, as I am not a fan of the identification being on the outside visible for anyone to see.

Straps: The straps are adjustable to ensure a proper fit on your child. But they also have enough versatility to fit parents, perfect for those moments when your little one needs help carrying his or her belongings.

Storage: The main compartment of the Rocketflyer pack has enough space for about a day’s worth of books, a toy or two, back up clothing, and snacks. We have not used the backpack for a flight, but will be as it small enough to be a personal bag and doubles as entertainment for the little one.

The main compartment has additional storage with two slit pockets for smaller objects along with a front pocket with a Velcro snap closure. The sides of this flyer backpack also have netted pockets, ideally used for water bottles and such, but I have a hard time getting most of our water bottles in the pocket. It would be nice if those pockets were larger.

Safe:

Bixbee products are tested PVC, phthalate, lead, and BPA free—just what I like to hear.

The bottom line

Overall, I would recommend this to a friend or give it as gift. It’s cute enough for the tot to be entertained and proud—as my little one is every time the backpack is needed—and it functions to meet mom’s expectations.
