Mutsy Igo Stroller

by Emme Lukasik Leave a Comment

mutsy igo stroller

In my dreams I have a stroller for every occasion: A high-end luxury model with all the bells and whistles, a compact push chair to keep tucked away in the trunk of my car, and a double stroller for when my nephew’s in tow.

I’m pleased to say that I don’t have to become a hoarder to make this dream a reality—thanks to the Mutsy Igo stroller.

Compact luxury

The Mutsy Igo has all the convenience of a compact stroller, with the luxuries we’ve come to associate with top-of-the-line models. At its most basic, the Igo ($579) is a beautifully made and stylish compact stroller. Purchase the Urban Nomad Bassinet ($269) for a carrying option for newborns and infants—or the stroller step-up board ($89) to transport an older child as well.

The basic push chair has a heavyweight, high-quality fabric made in neutral hues with faux leather accents. As a result, this stroller is a serious head-turner. What’s more, a moderately sized canopy keeps baby’s face from the sun, and a peek-a-boo window lets mom or dad keep an eye on their little one. The chair itself can be placed facing forward or backward—and flipping the direction is a cinch. Finally, the cargo basket below is relatively small, so don’t expect to tow groceries with this model. (Editor’s note: An extra shopping basket ($69) is available for purchase from Mutsy.)

A smooth ride

Most noteworthy, the Mutsy Igo has superior maneuverability and handles turns and bumps with ease. Combine this factor with a slightly smaller frame, and you have a stroller that’s ideal for navigating crowds and tight spaces. I pushed my daughter through the drug store in the Igo and was delighted to find I didn’t have to do a three-point turn just to change direction in the tight aisles.

Finally, this stroller has an easy, relatively compact fold. Therefore it stows away nicely in the trunk of a small car. The Igo is an ideal pick for a city dweller who’s short on space, doesn’t mind a small cargo basket, and is looking for a stylish stroller with a superior push.
