Austlen Entourage Stroller Review

by Maggie Gale 1 Comment

Austlen Entourage Stroller

The Austlen Entourage stroller is one of a kind, with the ability to expand in seconds. There is literally not another stroller like this on the market. The expandable option also allows for a variety of seating configurations and hauling capabilities. It’s an ideal stroller for grocery shopping or outings that require the ability to tote extra large items. Overall, it’s a unique stroller that can be easily adapted to meet the needs of your family.

Here’s what I love:

The quality accessories

This stroller is clearly well made, with attractive fabric options that are durable, washable and gender neutral. It sports attractive leather handles, and comes equipped with a huge storage basket and a detachable market tote. The seat reclines to near flat to accommodate an infant, and holds a child up to 50 pounds. This stroller also has one of my favorite features, the adjustable footrest. The footrest can be moved to accommodate a sleeping child, and also adjusted to form a bassinet for a young infant.

Although large, this stroller folds compactly, and can fit neatly in the trunk of a small car. There are also a variety of add-on accessories, such as a stand-on platform or secondary seating—none of which must be removed to fold the stroller.

The versatility

This is perhaps the Entourage’s greatest feature. It expands and contracts with ease, and without needing to remove a child from the primary seat. It can hold up to 150 pounds, and folds easily and compactly. Secondary seating or additional totes can be added, as can a car seat with an adapter. My favorite feature is the market tote. It snaps in and out easily, and can hold up to 35 pounds. It also has ability to expand and contract with the stroller, so takes up less room when not in use.

Here’s what I’d change:

The weight

This stroller is big and clocks in at a hefty 32 pounds. Therefore, it’s not the easiest stroller to lug in and out of a car or up a flight of stairs. However, it comes with a set of fenders that allow the stroller to be positioned upright while folded. I’ve also found, that if unlocked in the folded position, the Entourage can be easily rolled.

The bottom line:

The Entourage is a truly unique stroller, offering several options for customizing the system to your family. It’s big, sure, but it holds a ton of cargo (kids included!) and is easy and smooth to push. I love that many of the transformations this stroller allows can be made without removing your child from the front seat.

It’s amazing that this stroller holds 150 pounds. That’s huge! I’ve narrowed it down to this stroller and the Bugaboo Cameleon 3. The stroller diva says in her review that the cameleon 3 is overpriced.

I just can’t make up my mind between the two. What do you think?
