was the perfect gift for my family members who live far away. As a soon-to-be new mom, my last few months have been filled with decorating the nursery, attending appointments, and fielding requests from friends and family to feel the baby’s movements.
Luckily I have some family close by and they love being a part of my journey to motherhood. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law is not in that group. I know she has often felt left out of all the excitement, but the Heartbeat Bear was the perfect gift to help her be a part of our experience.

The recorder was simple to use and I took it along with me to one of my routine ultrasounds. The tech was happy to record my little one’s heartbeat and had just as much fun as I did with the process. All you have to do is pull a tag and press record and you can forever capture your baby’s heartbeat (or anything else if you wanted to). There is also a simple switch to prevent you from accidentally recording over it. After that, all you have to do is place it in the velcro pocket of whatever stuffed animal or bear you chose. Now whenever you want to hear your baby’s heart, you just squeeze the animal’s tummy.
My mother-in-law was thrilled to receive it and has made all the relatives and friends listen to it over and over already. There is something so amazing about hearing that heartbeat for the first time and this is the perfect way to preserve it! I am sure that after my babies are born and old enough they will fascinated to hear what their hearts sounded like before they were born. I would recommend this to any expectant mother who wants to capture that moment. I still have a rush every time I hear the heartbeat at each ultrasound—it is the ultimate signal of life and this is the perfect way to remember it.
