Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller

by Maggie Gale Leave a Comment

I love the Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller ($739). It’s easy to maneuver, it’s comfortable for kids, and it provides great protection from the elements with its extra large canopies. This is an ideal pick for someone searching for a sturdy and versatile double stroller.

What I love

Comfort:

These seats are cushioned, relatively wide, and provide comfortable seating for passengers. I love the adjustable footrests, and the fact that one quick adjustment can provide a cushioned and protected spot for an infant. Additionally, the canopies and seats are operated independently of each other, so that the seats can be modified to suit the needs of each child. Not to mention, the canopies are extra large and provide wonderful sun and rain protection, as well as peek-a-boo windows.

Maneuverability:

This stroller is a breeze to push over a variety of terrains, and provides a smooth ride for passengers. The Bumbleride Indie Twin handles most bumps with ease, and even managed a smooth ride across grassy fields, gravel paths, and an unpaved dirt road. The tires are air-filled, which may prove bothersome to those wishing to avoid fiddling with pumps. However, the stroller comes equipped with its own air pump that is discreetly stored within the basket.

Great features:

The Indie Twin offers a variety of wonderful features that can be adapted to meet your individual needs, and those of your children. The handlebar is adjustable, the bumper bars are removable, the canopies move independently of each other, and the seats have independent reclines. There’s also great storage available with a large under seat basket, and built in pockets behind each seat. I also appreciate the standing storage option which allows the stroller to be stored upright when not in use.

What I would change

Like most side-by-side doubles, the Indie Twin is on the heavier side. Clocking in at 36 pounds, this double can be a challenge to carry around, and takes up a quite a bit of trunk room. However, its 30” width will fit through most doorways, and if unlocked while folded, the stroller can be easily rolled.

Overall, the Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller is versatile and comfortable with wonderful features. So while I might not tote the Indie Twin out to a crowded restaurant, I’d bring it almost anywhere else.

Looking for more double stroller options? We took the UPPAbaby G-Link double stroller for a ride, reporting back on what we love and what we could do without. Here’s what we thought of it.
